You can optionally sign up for our newsletter, in which our 3rd party provider, Mailchimp will capture your email address.

Mailchimp may collect additional supplemental information about you which is outlined in their privacy policy. You can can contact Mailchimp to tell you what information they hold here.

What we capture

Mentorship signup

You need to create a free account on Slack if you don’t already have one to join UXmentor.me.

This account and the data it holds is subject to Slack’s privacy policy.

We use a bot called Greetbot which connects with Slack in order to send you a welcome message after you sign up and join. This bot accesses your Slack profile information including your associated email address in order to send you an automated direct message when you join. This data is used only for sending the message and is deleted after 30 days.

Your rights

Your right to be forgotten

You can deactivate your overall Slack account at any time by following the instructions here. You can also ask us to deactivate you from our Slack group, or delete your Slack profile completely by contacting privacy@uxrltd.co.uk.

We cannot delete or view your private messages / DMs to other users so you will need to delete those manually before removing yourself from the group. You can also manually delete your messages from Slack at any time.

Your right to object

If you no longer wish to be part of UXmentor.me you can deactivate your overall Slack account at any time by following the instructions here. You can also ask us to remove you from Slack completely by contacting privacy@uxrltd.co.uk, or just to deactivate you from our workspace.  

Your right to rectification

You can edit your Slack profile information on Slack directly by following the instructions here.

You can access the data Slack holds about you here: https://slack.com/account/settings.This includes access logs and your profile information.

Your right of portability

We can export your public message history in a JSON format if you contact us at privacy@uxrltd.co.uk.

We do not process any of your personal data, however Slack may do so under the terms of its privacy policy. You can contact them to restrict this here.

None of our websites, apps or services are directed to children or designed to attract those under 13 years of age.

Log Data

As with most websites and technology services delivered over the Internet, our servers automatically collect information when you access or use our Websites or Services and record it in log files. This log data may include the Internet Protocol (IP) address, the address of the web page visited before using the Website or Services, browser type and settings, the date and time the Services were used, information about browser configuration and plugins, language preferences and cookie data.
